DZHI Würzburg

The German Center for Heart Failure (DZHI) in Würzburg guarantees the greatest possible fire protection

With a romutec extension of Metasys, the building automation system from Johnson Controls, fire dampers in the ventilation system at the DZHI in Würzburg are monitored and controlled via the BACnet protocol.

The aim is to show that the innovative system extension for monitoring and operating the BSKs reduces the building's fire load and thus increases safety. Saving on cabling and integration into the Metasys system is highly effective.

Flexible Metasys building automation system controls the fire damper system

By connecting and communicating fieldbus controllers (BSK nodes) via BACnet with the romutec local priority operating level (LVB), no further DDC components are required. The romutec system works autonomously.

No gateways required - display, operation and control work stand-alone

Independent monitoring of the fire dampers via LVB display and operating modules in the DZHI Würzburg. A maximum of four dampers or a maximum of two smoke alarms can be controlled and displayed by fieldbus controllers. A BACnet node from Johnson Controls is used there.

The system displays the status of the smoke switch and the dampers on the LVB here RDC700 series.
